DVAA is seeking dynamic candidates for the regular full-time position of Gallery & Grants Manager
This is an exciting time for arts programming in the Upper Delaware Valley/Sullivan Catskill region. With immense talent that is both locally based and engaged in the area, the arts are a central part of our areas identity. This regular full-time position includes two distinct but interconnected portfolios Management of DVAAs Galleries and related programming and Management of DVAAs Grants Services, Scholarship, and Technical Assistance offerings.
As a member of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliances (DVAA) team, this role plays a vital part in advancing DVAAs mission to support artists and performers with year-round presenting opportunities and other local arts organizations and activities through arts resources including funding and advocacy.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGALLERY MANAGER PORTFOLIO: The Gallery Manager is the primary manager and contact person for DVAAs Visual Arts programming and is responsible for the coordination and implementation of DVAAs exhibitions, interpretive programming, and related projects that fall under the sphere of the Visual Arts.

As the administrator of DVAAs two re-grantmaking programs in Sullivan County Arts for Sullivan and the Sullivan County Arts and Heritage Grants program you will actively engage with artists and arts organizations across Sullivan County to cultivate a diverse pool of applicants and ensure an equitable and inclusive grant review process.
Additionally, you will administer DVAAs advocacy of the grantee and the broader areas cultural activities and coordinate DVAAs Technical Assistance offerings which serve to support artists and the cultural community of our region and provide access to best practices. DVAAs two donor-funded scholarships for graduating high school students in the areas of visual art and music are also overseen by the Grants Manager.

The position schedule is 40 hours on average per week. Regular staff hours are Tuesday Saturday, 10 am 6 pm. Flex time is available to accommodate attending work-related events on off hours. Flex time is also offered to meet key deadlines and/or provide support at essential DVAA events.
LocationThe position is performed on site at DVAAs 37 Main Street location. DVAA maintains a virtual work environment to accommodate for interruption of in-person workplace.
Full-time staff receive 15 days of paid vacation/personal time in addition to a paid week off between Christmas and New Years Day. Increased to 20 days after four years of employment.
Full-time staff are eligible to participate in DVAAs 403b retirement plan and receive up to $50 in matching funds per pay period.

DVAA presents engaging programs in the visual, performing, literary, and media arts. Through year-round exhibitions and performances in the Tusten Theatre and Krause Hall as well as popular annual community arts events including the Big Eddy Film Festival and Riverfest, DVAA provides access and exposure to the arts amidst engaged and passionate audiences.
As the Arts Council of Sullivan County, DVAA administers two re-grant programs funded by New York State and Sullivan County and is committed to advocating on behalf of and strengthening the Countys cultural community.
