This role partners closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, and senior leadership to assess creditworthiness, prepare detailed credit approval packages, and ensure that transactions align with the bank's credit policy and risk appetite.Responsibilities:Performs complex financial or collateral analyses including modeling or projections analysesManages analysts through the underwriting process (CAM, Diligence); prepares and review CAMs and PICs before submission; keeps track of all other items and tasks necessary to close a loanPrepares term sheets and review loan documents through underwriting process; coordinates boarding process with additional bank unitsTrains and develops analysts to constantly improveLiaises between other departments to gain buy-in for business plans, growth strategies, transaction opportunities, and mission critical operational initiatives; assists in hiringAssists in writing credit policy, guidelines and key process developmentRepresents the Bank at industry forums, conferences, and client meetings as appropriate.
