Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Key Interiors is an established leader in commercial Design/Build/Furnish construction.

Our firm focuses on renovations for corporate offices, labs, and industrial spaces. We have an amazing team that works together to deliver exceptional projects. This position is located in our Lombard office where we offer a hybrid work model.

Job Purpose:

We design, we build and we furnish every project. The furniture designer is crucial to the success of every project. This role will collaborate with the Account Executives, Design team, the client, and our operations team to design and specify functional solutions that meet the project goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Project programming to determine occupancy and project requirements.
• Develop and present design solutions. Outline details, standard practices and space optimization.
• Execute multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency.
• Create drawings, renderings and finish presentations.
• Create Power and communication plan for powered furniture
• Work directly with the manufacturers for custom capabilities and quoting.
• Present final costing to the client for approval
• Review BOMs for accuracy and ordering.
• Manage the project in coordination with the operations team.
• Supervise on site installation and manage project through punch list completion.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in interior design from CIDA accredited program
• 5 years of commercial furniture specification experience with deep understanding of building codes, ADA regulations, and electrical codes.
• Advanced Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Enscape and Microsoft Office Applications
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Adapts to new technology quickly
• Maintains a positive, self-motivated attitude and work ethic
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage deadlines
• 5-10% travel
