DescriptionJOB SUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Director of Development, Corporate, and Government Relations (DDCGR), the Fundraising Coordinator assists with the planning and implementation of all fundraising efforts, donor relations activities, special events, and marketing initiatives to support the mission of the agency. This position is responsible for supporting campaigns, managing donor records, assisting with grant writing, and helping with the development of promotional materials.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS•Assist with fundraising campaigns, annual appeals, donor cultivation, and stewardship activities.•Support grant writing efforts and sponsorship proposals.•Plan, coordinate, and help execute fundraising and donor recognition events.•Develop promotional materials, newsletters, and social media content to support fundraising and awareness efforts.•Maintain donor records and databases with accuracy and confidentiality.•Generate reports on fundraising progress and donor activity.•Prepare meeting materials and take board meeting and development committee meeting minutes.•Provide administrative support to the development team as needed.•Attend various meetings and represent the development team at community and donor events.•Perform other duties as assigned.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS•Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, public relations, or related field.•Four (4) years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, event planning, or related nonprofit development work.•Or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES•Proficiency in donor management software/CRM systems (e.g., DonorPerfect, Bloomerang).•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.•Experience using marketing and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).•Strong verbal and written communication skills.•Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.•Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with donors, sponsors, and stakeholders.•Knowledge of fundraising best practices and event coordination.•Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team.CERTIFICATION, LICENSE, AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS•Must possess a valid driver's license and provide an acceptable 10-year driving record to operate an agency vehicle.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe work is light, requiring exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. The role may require manual dexterity, hearing and distinguishing sounds at normal speaking levels, mental acuity, speaking, visual acuity (including color perception), and walking.WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is typically performed in a safe, secure, and stable office environment, with occasional evening or weekend hours for events.
