Fund Accounting Intern, New York

The role will be based in New York with the expectation of a hybrid work model. Our preference is for this intern to work at least 30 hours a week.

As an intern, you will play a critical role in supporting our Alternative Finance fund accounting team in accurately and efficiently managing financial data related to our investment funds. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in fund accounting operations, financial analysis, and reporting in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Work with the fund administrators in preparing and processing wire payments.

* Perform daily cash reconciliation to monitor fund 's cash activity.

* Assist in the preparation and review of NAV packages and financial statements.

* Assist in reviewing capital calls and distributions.

* Support the team during internal audits, external audits, and regulatory examinations by preparing relevant documentation.

* Contribute to special projects as assigned by the fund accounting team, which may involve research, and data analysis.

* Correspond with other internal PineBridge teams and external parties to complete projects assigned by the fund accounting team, including but not limited to reconciling receivables and payables to and from the investment funds.

Qualifications:

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.

* Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.

* Excellent written and verbal English communication.

* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and process complex financial data accurately.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.

* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team-oriented environment.

* An interest in the private equity industry and a desire to learn about fund accounting operations.

* Pay Range: $30-40/hr
