FULL TIME NURSE NEEDED

Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital, newly constructed in 2018 - state of the art facility conveniently located at 9938 airline highway in the heart of the city at the intersection of I-12 and Airline Hwy.

NIGHT SHIGT

Thurs, Fri, Sat and Wed, Thurs, Fri Bi-Weekly Rotation.

7PM - 7AM

Job Responsibilities:

• Assesses new patients within 8 h ours of admission
• Provides individual nursing care as order by the physician
• Manages medication administration including monitoring and storage on a daily basis
• Participates in interdisciplinary formulations of individual treatment plans
• Dictates and writes progress notes for one to one & group sessions in accordance with policies and procedures
• Assists in coordinating risk management activities to reduce or eliminate patient/staff/visitor injuries, illnesses, death, and/or financial loss
• Completes and signs necessary admission paperwork and other required documentation with guidelines mandated by law and applicable hospital policies and procedures

• Organizes and prioritizes work while being cost-effective and conserving resources
• Should be able to work with multi-disciplinary team
• Able to tolerate high stress and high volume of work
• Organized and self-disciplined
• Thorough documentation
• Utilizes listening skills that indicate understanding and promotes accurate interpretation of other's concerns, motivations, and feelings
• Works toward resolution of interpersonal conflicts as they arise

Education/Experience/License required:

• Registered Nurse. Psychiatric experience preferred
• CPR and CPI must be maintained
