SUMMARYRecovery Coach serves as a peer advocate to an active patient in Chemical Dependency. This position requires a good understanding of self-help groups and recovery process form alcohol or drug addiction.STATUS: Full TimeLOCATION: Evelyn Brandon Health CenterDEPARTMENT: Chemical DependencySCHEDULE: Days (8:00AM-4:30PM)ATTRIBUTES

• 1-3 years of work experience as a certified or provisionally certified peer advocate in chemical dependency preferred
• Recovery Peer Advocate Certification required
• Active NYS license required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides support and guidance to patients who are receiving addiction services.
• Interacts with the clinical staff in a professional manner.
• Documents in the medical record in a timely manner, the services provided.
• Utilizes supervision and is able to receive feedback and take direction.
• Maintains credential in good standing and attends OASAS trainings to further develop skill as recovery coach.
• Recruits and supervises volunteers and provides training.
• Comfortability transporting patients

It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
