Full-Time Forklift Operator - XPO : Job Details

What you need to succeed:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Basic math skills, with or without a calculator
• Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a dock or warehouse setting, especially in transportation
• Forklift experience in a freight or less-than-truckload (LTL) environment
• Capability to load and unload trailers effectively
• Strong attention to detail and a motivation to succeed

About the position:

• Pay starts at $21.97/hour
• Split shift schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 10:30 AM & 3:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Typical day-to-day responsibilities:

• Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload different types of freight
• Utilize both motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts
• Secure freight within trailers with appropriate tools and supplies
• Work safely and efficiently according to company safety policies
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and manage shipments
• Perform duties on a non-climate controlled dock for extended periods

Physical requirements:

• Lift freight and objects frequently up to 50 lbs., and occasionally over 70 lbs.
• Stand and walk for long durations on a potentially slippery, non-climate controlled loading dock
• Reach, bend, climb, pull, push, twist, squat, and kneel as necessary
