Full Time Deputy Sheriff I - County of Brown Minnesota : Job Details

Responsible, under the direction of the Sheriff, for the enforcement of the laws of the State of Minnesota which include, however; not limited to, the apprehension of criminals, prevention of criminal activity and protection of property and life. Sheriffs Deputies also assist area police, fire and ambulance services when requested or directed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the safety and well-being of all residents in Brown County. Patrol the County, enforce traffic laws, and maintain positive law enforcement presence throughout the county. Prevent and detect commission of crimes - constantly being aware of potential crimes/public safety hazards and taking appropriate action as needed. Answer all calls and complaints, investigate crimes, motor vehicle accidents, boat, snowmobile, ATV, farm, and industrial accidents; collect evidence, prepare reports, prioritize assignments.
