Job Description :
POSITION PURPOSE

The individual in this position is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in achieving and/or exceeding the store's sales plan, ensuring profitable operations, and performing all functions necessary to provide superior customer service. This includes managing resources such as store personnel, merchandise, cash, budget, and facilities. The Assistant Store Manager assumes supervisory responsibilities in the Manager's absence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESSales

In partnership with the Store Manager, ensure the store meets or exceeds weekly, monthly, and annual sales budgets, contributing to the company's overall success.

  • Model Lindt standards and core competencies through daily activities (leadership, commitment, passion, sales focus, drive for results).
  • Understand and communicate the store's sales mission effectively to staff.
  • Quantify and articulate store performance metrics.
  • Motivate staff, build brand commitment, and hold staff accountable to KPIs and sales opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue external sales opportunities, including B2B contacts, networking events, and marketing.
  • Manage inventory proactively to align stock levels with sales trends, minimizing out-of-stocks and overstocks.
Staff Development

Support the Store Manager in hiring, managing, and developing staff according to Lindt & Sprüngli standards to ensure a knowledgeable and friendly team.

  • Assist in recruiting qualified candidates.
  • Network proactively to find viable candidates.
  • Help train staff to company standards, ensuring daily operations and sales are achieved.
  • Develop staff sales techniques and product knowledge, ensuring accurate brand representation.
  • Escalate issues promptly to the Store Manager and District Manager.
Operational Controls

Work with the Store Manager to ensure store compliance with operational standards.

  • Inventory control and shrink management.
  • Cash management, including POS, paperwork, and policies.
  • Audit compliance, loss prevention, and food safety.
  • Payroll and labor management.
  • Adherence to store scheduling templates.
  • Expense control for damages, supplies, etc.
  • Follow company policies and procedures accurately and timely.
