If you want your code to power national defense and commercial safety systems—not another ad server—this is the role for you.What You Will Do Own end-to-end development of robust full-stack web applications supporting dashboards, analytics, and fleet management systemsDesign and build intuitive UIs and front-end experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred)Develop scalable, secure backend systems and APIs with Node.js (TypeScript), Go, or other modern back-end technologiesBuild solutions that integrate with both on-prem and cloud-based infrastructuresWork closely with a highly collaborative team of engineers and technical leaders to define architecture and execute product strategyParticipate in product development lifecycle from feature scoping to deployment, with autonomy and ownershipContribute to improving development tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality standardsDeliver impactful software for critical transportation and defense applicationsIdeal Candidate Background 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with balanced contributions across both backend and frontend (ideally 50/50)Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field from a top academic institutionStrong background in building products from 0 to 1 in startup or fast-paced environmentsProficient in React (or similar JS frameworks), modern JavaScript/TypeScript , HTML, and CSSExperienced in backend development with Node.js , Go , or similar server-side technologiesHands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platformsFamiliar with SQL , data-intensive applications, and observability tools (Splunk, Databricks, Snowflake)Exposure to working with monorepos , Git, CI/CD toolsU.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the projectsPreferred Experience in industries such as defense tech, aerospace, transportation , or industrial IoTActive or eligible for U.S. Government security clearanceExperience working in high-stakes or mission-critical software environmentsPrior work at venture-backed startups or growth-stage tech companiesDemonstrated history of stability (minimum 2 years per role, no job hopping)Compensation and Benefits Base Salary: $150,000–$200,000 (flexibility up to $220K for standout candidates)Equity: Meaningful pre-Series C equity with high upside potentialBonus: Performance-based bonus tied to company outcomesBenefits: Comprehensive healthcare, PTO, 401(k), and other startup perksWork Flexibility: Remote-friendly across the U.S., or in-person in the Virginia HQGrowth Path: Rapid promotion potential in a fast-scaling, high-impact engineering teamReady to work on tech that truly matters?
