Your software will be deployed across an array of operational and research & development efforts for mission-critical customer programs and projects.Each of our customers requires unique technical solutions to enable an asymmetric advantage on the battlefield. Torch.AI's patented software helps remove common obstacles such as manual-intensive data processing, parsing, and analysis, thereby reducing cognitive burden for the warfighter. Our end-to-end data processing, orchestration, and fusion platform supports a wide variety of military use cases, domains, operations, and echelons. You'll work autonomously while driving coordinated, collaborative decisions across cross-functional teams comprised of defense and national security experts, veterans, business leaders, and experienced software engineers. Your code will advance back-end data orchestration and graph-compute capabilities to deliver elegant data and intelligence products. - You'll have the opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of projects and tasks, from designing and demonstrating early capabilities and prototypes to deploying large-scale mission systems.
- You'll contribute directly to Torch.AI's continued position as a market leader for data infrastructure AI and compete against multi-billion-dollar incumbents and high-tech AI companies.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with object-oriented programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java. Heavy experience with Java, a plus.
- Experience deploying software to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with both front-end (React, Angular, Vue, Redux) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Java).
- Proficiency with database technologies including SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, Neo4j, SQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, BitBucket) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong experience with data structure, algorithm design, and time-series data analysis.
- Proficiency in writing application specifications, creating documentation, and troubleshooting software applications.
- Experience in deploying and managing full-stack AI-based enterprise applications.
- Industry experience, preferably within the defense industry, intelligence community, or related sectors, a plus.
- A passion for continuously identifying technical risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Strong drive for improving software quality, security, and performance.
- Ability to propose innovative solutions and optimizations based on application metrics and technical insights.
- Strong understanding of database structure and integration, and familiarity with Elasticsearch and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Unix-based command lines and various software development tools (e.g., Kibana, Selenium, Linux Admin).
- Ability to script solutions and automate manual processes.
- Strong knowledge of application security, testing strategies, and configuration management.
- Knowledge of APIs, web applications, and service development, with a focus on robust, scalable systems.
