Full Stack Engineer - ClinCapture : Job Details

ClinCapture, Inc. is a digital health software company with offices in San Francisco, CA, and Las Vegas, NV. We are the creator of Captivate, our AI-powered Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platform, helping life sciences companies run clinical trials more efficiently and compliantly.

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer who is excited to work at the intersection of healthcare and AI. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to enhance Captivate, design new features, and deliver integrations that push the boundaries of digital health technology.

You'll be hands-on across the stack—front-end, back-end, APIs, and cloud infrastructure—while also contributing to our AI-driven roadmap. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to see their work make a direct impact on clinical research.

This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area, reporting to our San Francisco office. Team members typically spend part of the week in-office for collaboration, while working remotely the remainder of the time.

• Enhance Captivate with new features and integrations, guided by customer feedback and product strategy.
• Design, build, and maintain REST APIs to connect Captivate with third-party platforms and internal services.
• Collaborate on features that leverage large language models (LLMs) and other AI techniques to improve data quality, protocol validation, and user experience.
• Develop across the stack: Java/PHP/SQL back-end, React/JavaScript front-end, and AWS/Docker infrastructure.
• Contribute to mobile app initiatives (experience or interest is a plus).
• Build intuitive, scalable data visualization features.
• Lead projects from conception to deployment, ensuring efficiency, quality, and security.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Proficiency in Java, PHP, SQL, React, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Postgres and/or MariaDB databases.
• Familiarity with AWS and Docker for cloud infrastructure and containerization.
• Strong experience in REST API design and integrations.
• Exposure to or strong interest in AI and LLM-powered applications.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
