Our client, a not for profit organization in Suffolk County, is hiring a full charge bookkeeper on a temp to hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow into a Controller position. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a not profit and must be comfortable working in an office where there are dogs and cats.

Responsibilities:

• Processing Transactions
• Reconcile payments
• Processing and recording Donations from sources like Facebook, PayPal, Venmo accounts
• Posting payroll entries, not processing payroll
• Setting up vendor accounts
• Tracking/recording/processing payments to Trainers, handlers. Contractors..
• Reconciling at month and quarter end
• Front to back experience with QuickBooks
