Work with individuals in the STRIVE Program who are transitioning from homelessness, using rapid employment to connect participants with resources and service navigation.
Provide case management services and resources to individuals who are transitioning from homelessness, creating a pathway to employment, vocational training, and sustainability.
Work with Emergency Interim Housing provider/s to ensure stable housing for program participants.
Prepare and provide employability workshops, to each crew member, which include Resume Writing, Mock Interviews, Communications classes, and job search training and assistance.
Responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally either orally or in writing.
Major Duties:
Develop and execute a strategy to fill open crew roles to include outreach efforts, recruiting, and partnering with homeless services partners to create employment opportunities.
Work with EIH partner in conducting outreach, recruiting, cross-referring, and supporting mutual clients.
Through the assessment process, ensure that appropriate candidates are enrolled in the program and assigned to a work crew.
Use assessment tools as a guide to resource connection, vocational pathway planning, and self-sufficiency.
Work with the Onboarding team to orientate and process new hires to ensure prompt availability to our roles within the crew.
Coordinate with Drivers/Supervisors to maintain and identify openings within the various crews.
Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources that will support SJ Bridge participants needing a connection to those resources as part of their navigation plan.
Routinely meet with crews in the field to assure quality service, and to give direction to Drivers/Supervisors when critical changes or issues surface.
Process and approve time and attendance for all crew members and Drivers/Supervisors.
Build supporting relationships with program participants to continue working toward the accomplishment of goals and navigation plans.
Represent Goodwill of Silicon Valley and the program in the community by connecting and staying in contact with partnering organizations, agencies, and groups, and through the use of social media (partner with Marketing Director in this regard).
Adhere to all relevant operational and reporting requirements and standards of GWSV Human Resources.
Create Work Schedules, Crew Site Calendars, Reporting templates, and Time and attendance trackers for all Drivers/Supervisors and Crew Members.
Responsible for proper orientation and safety training for all crew members.
Ordering and maintaining safety gear, tools, and supplies for the Litter Abatement Crews, working with the Program Manager to make purchases as needed.
Working with and coordinating with City Monitors, and Staff to effectively develop site rotation, reporting structure, and request for support.
Work closely with both Program Manager and crew members to establish an effective team attitude geared toward meeting the work requirements of the contract, and the individual needs of program participants.
Support with Pre and Post Hiring during onboarding process.
Performs other duties as requested.
Education required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/knowledge preferred. Case Management/or recruiting experience preferred.
Experience required:
Experience working with entry-level job seekers, people with barriers to employment, and familiarity with the various obstacles and challenges that come with serving the unhoused/homeless population.
Experience creating vocational plans, setting goals that are realistic and attainable.
Experience navigating the current homeless resources in our area and region.
Must possess vehicle, insurance, California Driver's License, and excellent driving record.
