Employment Type:Full time. Shift:Rotating Shift. Description:Full-time RN position available, negotiable shift (8, 10 or 12-hour shifts), with rotating weekend, weeknight, and holiday call commitments. Our staff-facilitated scheduling helps uphold the philosophy of Shared Governance within our unit. Operating under the guidelines of the American Society of Peri. Anesthesia Nurses, PACU RNs at SPH are trained to recover conscious sedation, Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), General Anesthesia, Spinals/ Epidurals, and Regional/ Local Anesthesia including nerve blocks. PACU-specific metrics include interventions for airway management, reintubation & extubating; post-op pain and nausea; hypothermia; Emergence Delirium. Orientation 8-16 weeks, based on experience.
