DescriptionManagers at Chick-fil-A demonstrate exceptional people skills, initiative, leadership, and problem solving expertise. Their priority is to ensure excellence in our hospitality which is achieved by flawless production of food and curation of memorable guest experiences. Managers are the captains of each shift ensuring all team members are dispatched effectively in the restaurant to achieve peak efficiency. They are proactive in identifying potential problems and course correct as needed. Furthermore, managers set the example for guest experience and coach team members on how best to deliver 2nd mile service. Product Quality, Efficiency & Service are the top priorities to meet. This position has direct reports and supervisory authority over personnel.Responsibilities include:
  • Full availability required for this position with ability to open and/or close. Managers will rotate opening and closing shift on a semi-annual basis
  • Serve as a mentor to team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback
  • Ability to run restaurant operations independently and effectively as well as collaborate with BOH leadership for fluidity between front and back of house
  • Quickly identify problem areas during shift and adjust/reposition Team Members to course correct
  • Responsible for training new hires, retraining current Team Members and providing ongoing training for new procedures
  • Work with external consultant for Food Quality and Safety Testing
  • Ensure equipment and facilities maintenance are in proper working order and associated maintenance logs are properly maintained
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respectfully guide Team Members to achieve success
  • Work alongside Executive Leadership to oversee food cost budget
  • Take initiative to share areas of improvement for operations to management during meetings
  • Properly document and address personnel-related issues, as well as relaying information to the executive team
  • Assist with inventory ordering and stocking
  • Counting change fund at every shift change, maintain change fund inventory and ordering change
  • Develop current and future Leaders
  • Oversee weekly scheduling needs
  • Position requires NYC Food Handlers License ($25 test fee covered by Chick-fil-A West 225th Street)
