Front-End Software Engineer (Hybrid or Remote)
RouteSmart Technologies, a leader in vehicle route optimization software technology, is seeking a front-end software engineer for their development team in Melville, NY. This role will be responsible for designing, coding, and supporting multiple websites that feature both user-friendly design and clear navigation, from layout to function.
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000-$110,000 per year. RouteSmart Technologies, Inc. has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the US, and base pay will vary based on experience.
This position is hybrid or remote; however, we are currently seeking only candidates who are domiciled in the following states: Maryland; New York; Pennsylvania; Arizona; California; Colorado; Florida; Idaho; Illinois; Indiana; Minnesota; New Jersey; North Carolina; Oregon; South Carolina; Washington.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create site layout/user interface using standard HTML/CSS practicesWrite well-designed, testable, and efficient code following best software development practicesIdentify and fix errors in code effectivelyIntegrate data from various back-end services and databases; collaborate with web designers to match visual design intentRequirements
Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, web functions, and ECMA Script standardsExperience creating Web Applications using JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS and Material UIKnowledge of web application security, session management, and development best practicesExperience with making calls to Web ServicesExperience with GIS and mapping services is highly advantageousEducation & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or related fieldMinimum of 3 years experience as a UX designer and/or web developer/front-end developerExperience in planning and delivering software platforms across multiple products and unitsBenefits
