Front-End Software Engineer (Web Developer) - RouteSmart Technologies : Job Details

RouteSmart Technologies, a leader in vehicle route optimization software, is seeking a front-end software engineer for their development team in Melville, NY. This role involves designing, coding, and supporting multiple websites with a focus on user-friendly design and clear navigation.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 and $110,000 per year. Pay varies based on experience and location within the US. Currently, only candidates domiciled in specific states are eligible.

• Create site layout and user interface using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code following best software development practices
• Identify and fix errors in code
• Integrate data from back-end services and databases; collaborate with web designers to match visual design intent

• Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, web functions, and ECMA Script standards
• Experience creating web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS and Material UI
• Knowledge of web application security, session management, and development best practices
• Experience with web service calls
• GIS and mapping service experience is a plus

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 3 years experience as a UX/web developer or front-end software developer
