Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Data Center Architect for a critical role supporting the transformation of a high-impact, cloud-based data center environment. This position is responsible for architecting and managing systems that power mission-critical applications and ensure seamless, secure, and scalable user experiences.
This is an onsite role requiring an active Secret Clearance, offering the potential for full-time conversion after an initial 6-month contract period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture Design and Implementation: Lead the design, development, and implementation of front-end data center architecture, focusing on optimizing hosting and DevSecOps environments for application information systems. This includes HW, servers, VMs, storage arrays, networking equipment, switches, etc.
- Technology Evaluation: Stay ahead of the curve with emerging cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle OCI) and front-end frameworks.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance system performance, identifying and resolving front-end bottlenecks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver tailored front-end solutions that align with business and mission objectives.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all solutions meet DoD security standards and compliance requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, standardized technical documentation for designs and processes.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term IT roadmaps, evaluating how emerging tech can support future initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of data center architecture or engineering experience
- Strong understanding of infrastructure components (servers, storage, networking, virtualization).
- Solid understanding of API integration (REST, GraphQL) and data structures (JSON, XML).
- Experience with data visualization tools and data center applications
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
