The Role

Are you ready to lead an exceptional front desk team and revolutionize the apartment living experience? AvalonBay Communities seeks a Front Desk Supervisor, a leader in customer service to oversee our concierge desk operations, set new standards for quality, and ensure our residents experience luxury living. Join us in redefining style and comfort in apartment management.

The Front Desk Supervisor manages the concierge desk at our top-tier apartment community, overseeing resident relations, collaborating with maintenance and leasing teams, and ensuring smooth lobby traffic flow. You will handle escalated resident issues and work with the Community and Maintenance Managers to provide resolutions. Your leadership will help create a better living environment and a top workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Enforce community policies consistently and fairly.
  • Organize and manage resident events to promote community.
  • Manage concierge team to ensure exceptional resident and prospect experiences around the clock.
  • Oversee temporary staff and vendor relations.
  • Provide coaching and development for team members.
  • Handle escalated resident issues and collaborate with management for resolutions.
  • Train new and existing concierge staff.

This position requires flexible scheduling, including weekday, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of multifamily or related experience in hotel, retail, or restaurant settings.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or training experience.
  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in administrative software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to walk the property and handle packages/deliveries.
