Description Flexible and variable work hours, willing to work morning, afternoon and evening hours; occasional weekend hours as needed. Also willing to work additional hours during the summer months and during enrollment week. Duties of the front desk clerk include: Answering patron questions whether over the the telephone, email, or in person Enrolling patrons into classes and programs Checking patrons in for classes/programs as well as general swim times Money handling for day pass, memberships, punch cards, classes and lessons Assist with set up and tear down of swim meets and other large events Assisting Office Manager with tasks as needed Assist Aquatic Center facility management team with tasks as needed Other additional duties as assigned by the supervisor Requirements of the front desk clerk include: •Provide excellent customer service •Maintains confidentiality as it relates to patrons and staff •Efficient with Microsoft and Google Documents •Willing to learn software used at the Aquatic Center Aquatic Center staff will provide training for all required duties of the position. WORKING CONDITIONS Pleasant; however, may be interrupted to attend to student, staff, and visitor needs. Qualifications QUALIFICATION Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent. Computer skills are a plus. Experience: One (1) year in a general office setting. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Ability to work well with constant interruptions and maintain a professional demeanor. 2. Ability to make quick and responsible decisions following Racine Unified School District policies and procedures. 3. Good clerical skills including, but not limited to, proficiency in typing, ability to operate and trouble shoot various office equipment, knowledgeable and up to date on latest software applications. 4. Ability to prioritize and work independently in a high volume office while being efficient and organized with minimal supervision. 5. Must have good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills. 6. Must be willing and able to learn current District electronic communication system including, but not limited to, email, distribution lists, directory, attachments, and calendar functions. 7. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality. 8. Must have good attendance.
