About the Opportunity: Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire a part-time Front Desk Associate to join our Field House teamwho can work approximately 20-25 hours/week: Tuesday 3pm-11pm, Wednesday 3pm-11pm, and Sunday 10am-6pm. These hours are subject to change based on scheduling needs and at the discretion of the Supervisor. The Front Desk Associate will report to the Assistant General Manager and work closely with all Department Managers.In this role, you will be expected to:
- Create and enhance relationships between Field House patrons and Chelsea Piers
- Must always maintain a neat and professional appearance including the wearing of assigned nametag and uniform
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient retail and apparel space
- Support the Front Desk Team with consistent updates related to inventory of safety supplies and retail apparel
- Answer and direct phone calls appropriately
- Execute the process of receiving deliveries and providing timely communication to those who are awaiting deliveries
- Be aware, review, and update scheduled events/programming based on business need
- Display a thorough understanding of Field House and all its offerings
- Provide proper and polite communication to Field House patrons and guests
- Provide correct information to patrons regarding directions, site info, Chelsea Piers history, etc.
- Other business-related duties deemed necessary by Supervisor

- Superior customer service skills and at least 2 years of face-to-face customer service experience
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A professional and courteous manner
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Prior cashier experience, a plus
- Familiarity with Windows software programs
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Ability tolift and carry objects up to 25lbs
- Ability to work 20-25 hours/week: Tuesday 3pm-11pm, Wednesday 3pm-11pm, and Sunday 10am-6pm
