Job Summary: The Killington Grand Hotel Front Desk Agent/ Night Auditor creates the first impression of the hotel and resort and performs daily activities assigned with a genuine willingness to serve guests by providing accurate and courteous information. Summary of Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Be happy and friendly, have an honest desire to help others
  • Be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for guests and co-workers when on duty
  • Safeguarding the property and guests from harm or hazard
  • Process all nightly reports and activities associated with night audit procedures completely and in a timely manner
  • Utilize all resources to process, troubleshoot and maintain accuracy of the nightly audit procedure and ensure proper completion
  • Assist in the maintenance and development audit procedures, make suggestions for improvement and efficiency in audit procedures and general hotel operations
  • Assist in the training of others in audit procedures when called upon to do so
  • Ensure all processes have been completed for the next day's operations to include reports, making advance keys, registration processing and reporting any relevant occurrences to the next shift and management
  • Be familiar with all established emergency procedures, in the event of an emergency; take charge of guest safety and safeguard the hotel from further damage
  • Make our guest experience positive and memorable
  • Functioning in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking
  • Dedicated to familiarization with all products and services offered and assist guests with questions or challenges
  • Contribute to the overall success of our team and represent the values we strive to achieve
  • Be a good teammate
  • Welcome guests, check them in/out, distribute room keys, assist with inquiries regarding charges
  • Take payment from customers
  • Assist guests with reservations when applicable or refer a guest to the proper source/destination
  • Respond to guests' challenges in a friendly, timely manner
  • Explain hotel, resort, local amenities, and attractions to guests
  • Communicate to guests and staff members in a clear and concise manner
  • Be on time and dressed in the appropriate uniform ready to work
  • Follow all safety guidelines and participate in daily/weekly/monthly safety briefings
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with Springer-Miller PMS
  • Experience with Inntopia
  • Experience with RTP Ticketing
  • Word and Excel proficiency
  • Hotel experience is preferred but not required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
