Job Summary
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel efficiently, courteously, and accurately using the property management system. They process all payments according to hotel policies and provide information and customer service to guests and visitors.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner. Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room locations, and answer phones courteously and promptly. Upsell rooms whenever possible to maximize hotel revenue. Process all cash and credit card transactions accurately, including posting charges, completing reports, preparing deposits, and securing bank funds. Manage guest safe-deposit boxes responsibly. Communicate guest requests or issues to management for follow-up. Respond appropriately to guest complaints and make service recovery gestures to ensure guest satisfaction. Qualifications
- 1-2 years of customer service experience.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours.
- Basic knowledge of computers and software, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and hotel management systems.
