Summary

The Freight Forwarder Air Import ensures the timely import of goods by air, managing customs clearance and delivery, and coordinating with airlines, customs, and trucking companies. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

Educational Background / Work Experience

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related fields preferred.
• Experience in air imports highly desirable.
• Basic mathematical skills for cost and rate calculations.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Industry Knowledge and Business Acumen

• Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations.
• Understanding of trade laws.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus.

Computer Literacy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with logistics software preferred.

Employment Terms

DSV employees are hired as at will employees, meaning employment can be terminated at any time for any reason, except where law prohibits. The typical hourly pay range is $22.50 to $30.50, depending on experience and location.
