Most of our systems are written in C++ on Linux / Verilog on various platforms adapted for the low latency / high performance world. You will be able to work well as part of a high-performing engineering team and will demonstrate a proven ability to create high-quality FPGA SOC.

Role Profile:

Client Connectivity Services is looking for a highly motivated senior developer to design, develop, deploy, and manage bleeding edge ultra-low latency and high capacity equity and fixed income client facing trading systems. Work with clients, exchanges, internal trading desks, risk, compliance, and other technology teams to drive and deliver software, hardware, and functional innovations in order to maintain industry leadership and competitive advantage in the electronic trading space.

Candidate should be able to work with people from various backgrounds and be well rounded. Ideal candidate will have a bachelors and a master degree in computer science or related fields, have at least 10 years of working experience in designing, developing, and managing large scale, enterprise level, low latency FPGA applications.

Expertise and hands on experience with trading technologies such as financial protocols (i.e. FIX, OUCH, Itch, BOE), Unix/Linux operating systems is also a plus.

Required Skills:

Experience in low latency design, development, deployment, and operation of FPGA applications

Hands on experience in Verilog / System Verilog is a must.

Experience working on configuring, testing & integrating RTL applications in a Linux environment

Experience working with support aspects of running trading applications is a plus

Track record of consistent on-time project delivery

Ability to manage work and plan deliverables in a structured manner (project planning)

Clear understanding of best business practices with respect to project management processes and methodologies

Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and many administrative details in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment

Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently

Strong verbal and written skills required to interact with global teams and customers

Self-motivated

Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.#LI-TS2
