We are looking for an accounting-oriented FP&A Analyst who can partner directly with BenefitHub's senior management and our PE owners to provide business insights into the operating result for the company.
Extensive in-depth accounting, financial analysis, financial modeling and data analysis experience will be critical to your success, as will your ability to consolidate your findings quickly and provide clear analysis and actionable responses/insights/recommendations.
This hands-on role will report directly to the CFO and the Senior F&A analyst and will interact with all levels of management.
Essential Skills & Responsibilities
- Provide timely, consistent, thorough, and actionable business and financial analysis, and reporting, helping to drive company-wide financial performance and understanding
- Interact with the private equity owners as needed on data analysis and reporting requests
- Create in-depth variance analyses and reports, including bringing structure to vaguely defined problems using both current and historical data.
- Execute quickly and communicate effectively in a fast paced, highly fluid environment
- Be able to successfully manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field is required. MBA
- 6+ years of hand-on accounting experience as well as experience building in-depth financial models and analyses
- Thorough knowledge of current GAAP accounting rules and regulations.
- Extensive accounting and data analysis expertise. You will need to be able to sift through years of data and draw actionable conclusions from disparate data sources.
- Strong attention to detail your numbers are always correct and documented
- This is a very hands-on position - the company is rapidly growing in both the volume and breadth of its businesses, so you must be someone who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and working in a fast-paced, start-up type of environment
- Investment banking, forensic accounting, equity/debt analysis or consulting experience a plus.
- Experience working in a private equity-owned business a plus
- Expert+ level skills with MS Excel and other analytical software. Prior experience with Sage INTACCT and data analysis software is a plus
- Well poised, exhibiting strong communications skills while interacting with all levels of the executive leadership team
