We're Atria - an early stage construction-tech startup building the AI research platform for architects, developers, and professionals in the construction space that takes the pain out of zoning codes, building regulations, and compliance headaches. Think of us as your smart assistant that knows every building code and zoning rule, so architects and builders can spend more time designing cool buildings instead of drowning in research and paperwork.

The Role

We're looking for a Founding Software Engineer to join our small but mighty team in NYC! You'll be building the brain behind our AI platform - the APIs, databases, and backend systems that make everything work. You'll be working with a lot of geospatial data and some exciting novel work tying this data all together. This role is hybrid/full-time in our NYC office, and you'll get to work on some pretty cool AI technology that actually helps people build better buildings.

You'll technically be employee #1, so you'll have lots of opportunity to grow within the company and you'll work directly with Khalil, our CTO.

What We're Looking For

• Strong backend development experience (we use TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, and work extensively with APIs)
• We also sometimes work within CAD software so any experience with .NET and C# is also a plus
• Experience with AI/ML is a massive plus
• Someone who loves solving complex problems and can work independently
• Experience leveraging AI coding tools and agents effectively and reviewing AI-gen code a massive plus
• Bonus points if you've worked with geospatial data or regulatory technology before

Compensation:

$120,000 base to start
