**Our legal startup client is building the best AI-powered legal review platform in the market!**

The Role:

We are the next generation law company.

AI is changing the legal profession. We're a team of technologists and legal experts who want to think bigger than selling software to attorneys. Instead, were working side-by-side to reimagine corporate legal services from the ground up, inventing a truly tech-enabled practice. We're looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in legal recruiting who has successfully placed dozens of contract lawyers, paralegals, and commercial counsel. You should be comfortable working in a high-volume environment and have a track record of scaling legal talent acquisition. Bonus points if you have in-house recruiting experience at a fast-growing company.

Job Duties:

• Take ownership of the entire recruitment process from market mapping to offer negotiation
• Source and hire legal professionals including contract lawyers, paralegals, and commercial counsel by end of year
• Work closely with our legal team to understand skill requirements and conduct quality assessments
• Build and maintain talent pipelines across law schools, legal staffing agencies, and professional networks
• Lead high-volume recruiting initiatives from initial sourcing to successful placement
• Research and map legal talent markets to identify optimal sourcing strategies and candidate profiles

Day-to-day example:

You might start your week sourcing 20+ contract lawyer profiles from target law firms, work with our legal team to screen and assess candidates, and spend time building relationships with legal staffing agencies to expand our pipeline. Last month, we needed to quickly scale our Commercial Counsel team for a major client project, and the person in this role would have been responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing 5 qualified candidates within 3 weeks. This is the kind of fast-paced, high-impact environment you'd thrive in.

Qualifications:

• Comfortable in an IC role
• 3+ years of experience of legal recruiting experience, ideally in an in- house and agency capacity.
• Demonstrated track record of top performance, i. e. placing 20+ legal hires annually with measurable success
• Experience recruiting contract lawyers, paralegals, or commercial counsel
• Bachelor's degree from Top 50 University
• High- volume sourcing and candidate generation
• Proficient in ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, legal sourcing tools
• Strong negotiation and relationship- building with legal professionals
