Creates mission specific messaging and engagement opportunities to further connect donors and encourage major gift support Responsibilities Essential Functions: • Responsible for carrying a donor portfolio with the guidance of a supervisor. A portfolio consists of prospects, donors, event interactions, donor visits, dollars requested and dollars received, campaign and service line development, and stewardship efforts. • Helping to design, implement, oversee and monitor a fundraising strategy that includes direct mail appeals, fundraising brochures, gift acknowledgement, giving clubs, premiums, telemarketing, e-philanthropy, recognition, cultivation and stewardship as they relate to Annual Fund donors and prospects. • Developing a donor retention program that seeks to minimize the number of donors who do not make a gift subsequent to their first gift. • Assist with the development of stewardship plans for major donors and family foundations. • Assisting in designing methods and strategies that educate key audiences about our giving needs and the importance of philanthropic giving. • Participating in implementing programs like the employee giving campaign. • Solicitation of philanthropic gifts as appropriate. • Works with senior management, hospital administration, physicians, donors and prospects, volunteers, vendors and other internal and external contacts to achieve funding goals. • Helps oversee the planning and execution of cultivation events, fundraising events, and tours. • Has access to confidential data that allows for managing and organizing philanthropic activity. • Establishes and maintain an open and positive working relationship with all team members. • Maintainsregular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures Other Related Functions: • Assists with the strategic planning and preparation of proposals and presentations as appropriate. • Well versed in Orlando Health Foundation resources such as, but not limited to, Raiser's Edge, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc. • Participates actively to assure compliance in assigned areas of responsibility. • Maintains professional growth and development through participation in seminars, workshops, industry publications, and professional organizations. • Keeps current with legal issues and trends related to the health care industry. • Acts as a role model for all team members. • Serves as Foundation representative at community events when possible. Qualifications Education/Training: Bachelor's degree required. Licensure/Certification: Fundraising Certificate recommended.
