Job DetailsJob Location Schenectady-Park Place - Schenectady, NY Position Type Full Time Education Level Associates Salary Range $25.00 - $26.00 Hourly Travel Percentage Up to 25% Job Category Nonprofit - Social Services Description As a Foster Parent Operational Specialist, you will support the operational processes that impact foster parent recruitment, including pre-certification/licensing, training and ongoing support post certification. You will work with foster care administrators, foster care supervisors, home finders and foster parents to ensure regulatory compliance standards are met and to provide a positive foster parent experience. You will report to the Director of Recruitment and Retention, and work a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities:
- Support foster parent recruitment efforts through data tracking, scheduling and communication follow up
- Follow up with inquiries from those prospective foster parents monthly
- Help with data tracking of inquiries, orientation, families in training and homes in process
- Assist foster care home finder with certification processes, such as contacting references
- Ensuring appropriate background checks are done for foster parents' applicants i.e. Staff Exclusion List check; fingerprinting; State Central Registry clearance and Driver's Abstract
- Develop a system to monitor expiration dates for physicals of foster families
- Schedule training on zoom
- Register foster parents for mandatory training through HSLC
- Manage foster parent Finder's Fees
- Manage gift card distribution to foster parents
- Help order and distribute foster parent gifts
- Help enter and maintain and auditing data in EVOLV, Smartsheet and Binti related to foster parent recruitment, certification and retention
Requirements and Education:
- Associates Degree required
- 1+ years of office managerial experience, experience developing internal processes and filing systems and comfort handling confidential information required
- 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications required
- A valid NYS driver's license required
