We're partnering with a leading defense technology company to find exceptional Forward Deployed Software Engineers who will deploy mission-critical software solutions for US Government teams. Technical Requirements:

• Active US Security Clearance (TS strongly preferred; Secret with willingness to obtain TS considered)
• 2+ years of strong engineering experience (Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics)
• Hands-on experience with containers (Docker/Podman) and orchestration (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in languages like Python, Java, Bash, JavaScript, or Go
• Strong Linux systems expertise

Day-to-Day Impact:

• Deploy and manage K8s products in tactical edge environments (air-gapped, on-prem, edge devices)
• Provide critical operational support, including system monitoring, configuration management, and troubleshooting
• Work in small, autonomous teams to drive end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects
• Travel to customer sites approximately 25% of the time

Tech Stack:

• Kubernetes (OpenShift, Rancher)
• CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Prometheus and Grafana
• Python, Java, and Bash
• On-prem hardware

Nice-to-Have:

• DOD 8570 IAT Level II or greater (CISSP, Sec+)
• Unix/Linux Certifications (Linux+, RHCE)
