Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Material Handler in Hagerstown, Maryland. Positions pay weekly with hourly pay of $21.00 per hour plus overtime pay of $31.50 per hour. Additional pay of $1.00 per hour is available when assigned to the second shift. The schedule is 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with overtime as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, one (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred, valid forklift operator's license certified, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and as a member of a team, ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment, ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization, ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs, ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to work using health and safety methods, and must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts.

Responsibilities include performing warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting, performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract, responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks, responsible for dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment, providing technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production, and performing other duties as assigned.
