Forklift Operator (Temporary to Permanent) - Acrow Corporation : Job Details

Job Title: Forklift OperatorLocation: Millington, TNTemporary to Permanent Opportunity All Hires will be processed through a Third-Party Agency for temporary assignment. Reports to: Warehouse Manager, TNPrimary Purpose: Under minimal direction, ensure that orders are loaded and unloaded in a timely and efficient manner according to company standards by partnering with the Warehouse Manager and team. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload equipment off trailers and containers with a forklift
• Inspect equipment for damages and notify supervisor
• Responsible for pulling and packing orders in a safe and timely manner
• Maintenance of inventory, which includes power washing and touchup of equipment
• Maintain accurate and timely inventory records
• Participate in inventory management and counting as required
• Understand all safety procedures, ensure safe work practices are followed and maintain a safe work environment.
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong work ethic in a team environment and ability to adapt to quickly changing business environment
• Certified forklift driver
• Experience moving large and non-standard items with the forklift
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Possess a sense of urgency
• Sound decision making skills
• Valid driver's license

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED

Working Conditions:

• Work is typically performed in a warehouse and yard environment in all season weather which requires proper safety precautions. Work requires some physical effort in the handling of materials, boxes, or equipment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Regular work hours are planned as 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Additional hours may be required from time to time.
• All work-related safety gear will be provided by the company
