You will play a crucial role in managing waste materials by transporting labeled drums, identifying substances, and safely loading and offloading them onto trucks. Your responsibilities will include separating hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring proper placement in the warehouse, and maintaining cleanliness by sweeping the area. Comprehensive training is provided, including certification for the 40 Hour Hazwoper. The position offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule with overtime opportunities.
ResponsibilitiesTransport drums of waste and load/unload them onto trucks. Identify and separate hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Ensure proper labeling and sorting of waste materials. Sweep and maintain cleanliness in the warehouse. Follow safety protocols and use company-issued protective equipment.
Essential SkillsExperience in general labor and materials handling. Ability to work with hazardous materials and waste. Forklift operation and wastewater management skills. Physical capability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
Additional Skills & QualificationsEnvironmental, wastewater, or hazmat experience preferred. Positive attitude and desire to build a career in the field. Basic computer skills for web-based training. Osha 10 certification preferred.
