Forklift Operator - Baillie Lumber : Job Details

The Baillie Group's Sherburne, NY Rip Line is hiring for a forklift operator. If you previously worked as a warehouse worker or any entry level forklift position before, you'll be a great fit for this role. This is a full time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer. Forklift Operator Pay & Benefits:

• Full Time Hours
• Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: $16.50 - $18.50/hour

Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

• Operating forklift in a warehouse setting
• When not driving a forklift, employee may be asked to complete other work as needed
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Identify the sort numbers for the carts you are responsible for. Pull boards into the correct carts according to the sort numbers on the boards.
• Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred
• High School degree preferred, but not required.
• Assist in all areas of production
• Adherence to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work independently
• Capable of working efficiently/safe as well as keeping a high level of precision

Forklift Operator Qualifications

• Previous experience as an equipment operator using a forklift of 10,000 lbs. and heavier required
• Prefer someone who has at least 1 year of experience within the last 2 years
• Must be self motivated and organized
• Willingness to work in outside environment
• Willingness to work overtime
• Locating/pulling/organizing loads of material needed for orders
• Ability to work independently
