Job Description :

In the entry level Forklift Driver position, you will perform general warehouse work that involves the receipt of incoming material/product. Verification of all receipts, using material moving/handling equipment to store materials in designated areas. Communicate with different departments to answer questions and resolve issues. Schedule & Compensation: Plastech Corporation pays on a weekly basis. Hours Available:

  • 1st Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm ($19.00 per hour) - Monday through Friday
***External candidates receive a $500 BONUS after 90 days of employment (must meet performance and attendance requirements).Essential Functions:
  • Efficiently move and transfer product from production, assembly, and within the warehouse to appropriate areas to ensure accurate inventory control.
  • Pull, prepare, and verify product for shipment in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards to ensure customers receive accurate shipments.
  • Provide components and packaging to production and assembly areas accurately and efficiently to ensure production needs are met.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage to ensure quality products reach the customer.
  • Assist in physical inventories, ensure proper stock rotation, and keep accurate inventory records to guarantee inventory control.
  • Adhere to 5S practices at all times to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Retain a current forklift certification and perform safe forklift operation at all times. Perform daily forklift checklist functions, create maintenance requests when needed, and perform daily cleaning on any forklift used to ensure forklifts remain in good working condition and are safe to operate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):Knowledge, Education, Experience and/or Certifications:
  • Previous warehouse experience is helpful with on the job training provided.
  • Training and certification in the safe operation of material handling equipment, specifically a motorized forklift, will be required (certification done on site).
Skills & Abilities:
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business reports such as packing slips.
  • Fill out general communication paperwork legibly in written form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Must also possess the ability to apply abstract concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but non-engaging, written and oral instructions.
