Overview:
Kings Island is seeking a dedicated Foreperson of Water Quality to oversee water quality operations throughout the park and Soak City Waterpark. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance to ensure a consistently safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily water quality testing and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead a team of technicians in sampling, analyzing, and documenting water conditions.
- Maintain and calibrate water testing equipment and chemical dosing systems.
- Investigate and resolve water quality issues, including contamination or equipment failure.
- Collaborate with Aquatics, Maintenance, and Safety teams to implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports to internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
- Train staff on water safety protocols and testing procedures.
- Participate and lead audits and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of water supply systems and water treatment processes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Ohio EPA Class III Water Supply Operator certification.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
- Knowledge of and adherence to EPA regulations related to water quality and treatment operations, including monitoring, reporting, and compliance standards for public water systems and recreational water facilities.
- Experience in maintaining and operating water treatment systems and infrastructure in accordance with Ohio EPA guidelines and best practices.
- Proficient in the use of measuring devices, water sampling/testing instruments, and mechanical tools related to water treatment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including attending continuing education courses to maintain certification as required.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
