FORENSIC NURSE (On-Call) - Palm Beach County, FL : Job Details

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) responds to victims of sexual assault as referred by Palm Beach County Victim Services and Certified Rape Crisis Center. Provides victim-centered, medically focused patient assessment, forensic evidence collection, management of the sexual assault victim, fact testimony, and interaction throughout the judicial process. Conducts patient history intake; assesses/treats/documents trauma response and injury. Participates in peer chart review, case staffing, staff meetings, and Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) activities.QUALIFICATIONS:Associate's Degree from an accredited school of Nursing; minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).Necessary Special Requirements: Must possess a valid FL Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) RN License.PREFERENCE FOR: SANE-Adult/Adolescent training, experience, and/or certification; experience in public health; experience in emergency department, sexual and reproductive education, obstetrics-gynecology/psychiatry.Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.No benefits are offered for on-call positions.THIS IS A GRAT-FUNDED, AT-WILL POSITION.
