Foods Laboratory Assistant, School of Health Science & Wellness - Northwest Missouri State University : Job Details

Of Position: The purpose of this position is to support operations of the foods laboratory and other general operations and activities within the foods and nutrition program. Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare grocery orders for Food Science laboratories; order lab supplies for delivery, check in order and store lab supplies, set-up all supplies and equipment for each food science laboratory. Organize equipment cabinets, food storage cabinets, refrigerators and freezers; clean ovens monthly, refrigerators, microwaves, counters, cabinets weekly; empty dishwashers; stock kitchens with staples, soaps and paper products, do laundry for all laboratories and restock lab areas with clean linens. Will maintain inventory equipment list for each of the five work areas throughout the semester. Prepare labs for summer by storing staples and oils; other duties as assigned.
