FOOD SUPPORT WORKER - STATE OF FLORIDA : Job Details

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Food Service Administrator and ensure that food is stored, prepared, distributed and served under sanitary conditions. Maintain dish room, serving area, dining room, and food storage areas in an orderly and sanitary condition. Completes assigned cleaning tasks. Assist in the preparation of meals as assigned, pull and pre-prep foods as assigned, help set up and serve all meals. Knowledge and performance of the equipment, procedures and techniques used in cooking, baking, and/or meat cutting. Ability to read and follow recipes and/or other instructions. Record all temperatures in the temperature book (food and equipment). Report any faulty equipment to the supervisor. The Food Support Worker will place food items on serving lines and keep the serving line well stocked.
