Schedule: 4 hours per day; M-F; 190 days per year (inclusive of 10 paid holidays)
Location: Shelton High School
Salary: $19.98 - $22.82 per hour, depending on experience. Salary Range is based on the 25/26 ESP Salary Schedule.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (overtime eligible)

Overview: Under the direction of the Food Services Director, this position performs routine work in setting-up, preparing and serving food, and clean-up activities while maintaining sanitary conditions.
Requirements: - Possession of a current State of Washington Department of Health Food Handler's Certificate.
- Prior school food service experience preferred (not required).
- Ability to pass a Federal criminal background check.
- Ability to transport food containers (with assistance) weighing at least 100 pounds.

Essential Functions: - Prepares and serves meals, helps unload van, keeps appropriate food either hot or cold, and sets up serving lines.
- Directs assigned personnel, students, workers and/or volunteers.
- Cleans utensils, equipment and the areas used for storage, food preparation, and serving.
- Stores and disposes of unused food and gets food ready for transport.
- Transports food containers of varying weights and sizes.
- Order supplies and goods necessary for serving meals; provide inventories to main kitchen when appropriate.
- Maintains appropriate refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
- Manages daily participation counts and amounts of food used.
- Attends trainings and meetings as appropriate or directed.
- Develops and maintains positive, professional relationships with staff and students.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
