DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will perform routine work in the preparation of meals and the sanitation of food preparation and serving areas. Your duties will include preparing food as directed, lifting cases of food and beverage products, and loading and transporting food carts. In this position, you will read and interpret color coding for special diets, assemble resident trays following a menu ticket, and set up the serving line as needed. You can expect to load and operate a dish machine, clean dining rooms and serving areas, and clean and sanitize food preparation equipment. Additionally, you will record use of food and non-food items on inventory sheets and assist in the preparation for special functions.
