This is technician level work in the kitchen. This position may act as lead supervisor in group food preparation or may work independently under the Director of Nutrition Services. Normal working hours are 40 hours per week. Rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled. - Planning, directing, and supervising the daily preparation and serving of food to residents.

- Planning as related to food ordering, menu planning, service production schedules, and making staffing assignments and schedules.
- Possessing oversight over food production work rules, methods, and procedures.
- Utilizing a computerized food and nutrition system to prepare and serve daily meals.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree dietetics, food management, culinary arts, hospitality management from an appropriately accredited institution; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of supervisory experience in the preparation and serving of food in quantity lots; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
