Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and energetic Food Service Director to lead our dietary team. This vital leadership role ensures our residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a welcoming dining environment that supports both health and quality of life.
What You'll Do
Oversee all food service operations, including meal planning, preparation, and service.
Develop menus that meet dietary needs, physician orders, and regulatory guidelines.
Supervise, schedule, and train dietary staff, fostering teamwork and excellence.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to enhance the dining experience.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility safety and sanitation standards.
Manage dietary budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships.
Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to support resident-centered care.
What We're Looking For
Previous leadership experience in food service management, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate a team.
Knowledge of nutrition, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
A passion for creating a positive dining experience for residents and families.
