Food Service Director – Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation CenterDunkirk, NY

Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and energetic Food Service Director to lead our dietary team. This vital leadership role ensures our residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a welcoming dining environment that supports both health and quality of life.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all food service operations, including meal planning, preparation, and service.

• Develop menus that meet dietary needs, physician orders, and regulatory guidelines.

• Supervise, schedule, and train dietary staff, fostering teamwork and excellence.

• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to enhance the dining experience.

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility safety and sanitation standards.

• Manage dietary budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships.

• Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to support resident-centered care.

What We're Looking For

• Previous leadership experience in food service management, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential preferred, or willingness to obtain.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate a team.

• Knowledge of nutrition, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

• A passion for creating a positive dining experience for residents and families.
