Preparation/assembly of meals, assisting with dishwashing and utility work and/or handling register. Responsibilities. A day in the life of a Food Service Associate at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:Maintains compliance with the diet prescription and obtaining preferences within that diet. Operates register, when assigned, according to established procedures. This includes all correct close out and deposit steps as well as the completion of the over-ring error slips. Cleans and sanitizes all equipment - cooking equipment, work stations, refrigerators, and food warmers. Performs routine sanitation assignments such as, sweeping, mopping, garbage removals and completion of the daily checklist. Completes and maintains proper documentation of the following: dishmachine temperatures, chemical logs, food temperatures, late tray logs and pantry supply sheet for dry and cold items delivered.
