We are one of the largest wholesale distributors of food and equipment & supplies to restaurant owners and have over 135 locations across the United States.We are a fast growing company and with this growth we are charged with responsibility to ensure top quality and safe products for our customers.The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Assistant will provide technical assistance and leadership for Restaurant Depot's Food Safety and Quality Assurance Program. You will focus on quality and food safety of imports, quality assurance of our private label brands, foreign supplier verification and product testing. Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in organization and flow of master document revisions; revising documents as needed and on a schedule. Updates master files and sends out notification of changes as well as calendaring reviews of documents Create and provide reports to Buying & QA Department to ensure information is up to date. May track and Monitor QA Holds Facilitates and manages customer requests i.e. Kosher, Halal, and Gluten Free Leads special project assignments as necessary requiring extreme attention to detail and knowledge of the QA programs. Backs up the Quality Supervisor when needed.
