Food Production Operator - Tamarack Holdings : Job Details

Food for Thought is hiring! We're seeking an experienced Food Production Operator to join our team and support daily production line operations.

What You'll Do: As a Food Production Operator, you'll play an important role in creating and delivering high-quality products while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency on the production floor.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards.

• Prepare, process, and package food products according to established recipes and specifications.

• Perform quality checks throughout production to ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety, and company policies.

• Maintain accurate production records, labeling, and documentation.

• Identify and report production issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns.

• Support efficiency and continuous improvement efforts, including waste reduction and process enhancements.

• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets.

• Follow all company policies regarding attendance, conduct, safety, and workplace standards.

All new hires complete a 45-day structured training program designed to set you up for success. This program also serves as a probationary period, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate reliability, skill, and teamwork as part of our core production team.

• Fast-paced food production setting with exposure to varying temperatures.

• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eyewear, hairnets, and safety shoes required.

• Team-oriented environment where reliability and cooperation are key to meeting production goals.

• Schedule is Monday–Thursday, AM shift. Occasional overtime on Friday's may be required depending on production load.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of food production/manufacturing experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and self-motivation.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
