• Negotiates spot purchases and long term agreements.
• Ensures that all new product requests have been approved in accordance with authorized approval levels.
• Adheres to the approved vendor lists.
• Ensures timely and cost efficient purchase and delivery of all vendor goods.
• Monitors supplier quality and delivery performance and recommends vendor changes when as necessary.
• Explores and implements yearly cost reduction activities.
• Maintains accurate pricing in Food and Beverage software database.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by Director of Purchasing.

• College degree in business or accounting preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Food and Beverage purchasing experience.
• Certified Purchasing Professional (C.P.P.) designation preferred or eligible through experience for certification.
• Computer literate with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and other related software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required as well as strong organizational skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
